2017 COMP Workshop for Undergraduate Students
To provide specific programming for undergraduates, the Computers in Chemistry Division will host a Workshop for Undergraduate Students in COMP at the Spring ACS meeting in San Francisco. The focus audience is current junior and senior chemistry, biochemistry and chemical engineering majors. Applications are considered on a rolling basis beginning October 1, 2016.
Up to 20 outstanding undergraduate chemistry students will be selected for a series of undergraduate-focused talks during the San Francisco meeting. In order for this program to be more accessible to undergraduate students:
With the financial support of the Division, a grant from ACS and support from the Council on Undergraduate Research, we are able to pay for the student registration fee for the 20 undergraduate participants. We are not able, however, to support transportation, housing or meal costs. We therefore ask that as part of the nomination process, your institution commit the funds needed to make student participation possible. Selected recipients must be members of the ACS before attending the meeting.
1) Submit your abstract to the COMP Poster Session (deadline 10/31/16). Please do not submit to CHED-COMP if you wish to be part of the workshop.
2) Complete the online application.
